Advani: Reach out to Christians, Muslims

To create a minority friendly society, BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate LK Advani on Monday gave a call to his party to eschew bigotry approach and reach out to Christians, Muslims and other minority groups.

Advani, while addressing the delegates attending the party's two–day national meet in the capital, stressed the need to unite people of all sections of the society.

The politico urged party members not to ignore the Christians and Muslims who have so far remained aloof from BJP.

Stating "we have never had it so good," he announced that he was borrowing a phrase from the BJP's successful campaign in Gujarat to coin the party's slogan for the next Lok Sabha polls —"Jeetegi Bhajapa, Jeetega Bharat (When the BJP wins, India will win)."

"Let's also remember that what the people of India are looking for is a government that can deliver honest and good governance and make India strong both in development and security," he added.

Advani urged his fellow–workers "not to ignore a single task, not to waste a single winnable seat to achieve our goal of securing a decisive majority for the NDA, with the BJP emerging as a strong anchor in the next Lok Sabha polls."

"In all our mass campaigns, we should not only highlight the UPA government's failures, but also explain our own superior agenda of governance," he added.

The BJP government from the past has been accused of persecuting the Christians, on various false charges and creating communal disharmony in the society.

Several BJP ruled states in the North India, have already passed the anti–conversion bill, which diminishes the religion freedom of the people.
