Annual Gospel convention held in Maharashtra

Around 2,000 Syrian Christians from various parishes in Dadar, Maharashtra, gathered to attend the three–day annual gospel convention of St. Mary's Orthodox Syrian Church which began on January 11.

The convention coincided with the 64th feast of the church, which is the first church of the Syrian Christians in the western region of India.

The convention started with the evening prayer led by Fr. Mathai Edayanal along with songs and musical performances by 'Divine Vibrations' – a music band of the youth movement conducted by Suneel Varghese and concluded on Sunday, January 14 with the feast mass celebrated by Bishop Augen Mar Dionysius accompanied by the choir.
