Blessing with Jesus

Jer 31:34


…For I will forgive their wickedness and remember their sins no more



Even though we are wanders who live for a little while in the world, we are enjoying the blessed life which is forever reigning with Jesus, if we see it with the spiritual eyes. We can not help praising God when we realize the incredible truth of our being in the same rank of reigning with Jesus .

Paul said the biggest reason for praising God is that Christians are in Christ, so they are spiritually up to as high as the rank of Jesus, who is sitting at the right hand of God, and who is resurrected, and ascended. Paul says “which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms”(Eph 1:20).

Also he said, “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus”(Eph 2:6). The heavenly realm means the holy nation, which has the precious throne of Jesus.


Therefore, we are the people who have received all the spiritual blessings of the heavenly realm through Jesus Christ. God promised his people the blessing of material, children, harvest, flocks, prosperity, bread, and exerting an important effect upon the world in the Old Testament(Deut 29:1–14).

Also, in the New Testament, Jesus spoke of the material blessing, and told not to worry that God who gave us the heavenly realm will provide all the things we need on our way to go up there. We are going to receive all the enough money that we need on the way to the glory of God because the One who guaranteed to bring us up to there will never let us starve on the way.”

There are many promises of the spiritual blessing in both NT and OT. In Jeremiah it is written, “‘This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after the time’, declares the Lord, ‘I will put my law in their minds and write in on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people …For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more’”(Jer 31:33, 34). Also, Paul in the NT says the most important spiritual blessings of Christians.

Namely, they are the blessings of holiness, adoption, redemption, forgiveness, the Holy Spirit, glory and hope(Eph 1:3–14). In fact, we have been receiving countless spiritual blessings in Christ until now.

As our faith gets mature, we find more spiritual blessings in Christ, and desire more of the spiritual blessings.
