Christian or Muslim, everybody born in India is a Hindu: RSS chief

For Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), everybody born in India is a Hindu and is all part of the 'Hindutva'.

Speaking at a two-day seminar on 'Hindutva in the present context' organised by the Bharatiya Vichar Manch in Ahmedabad, Bhagwat said, "Whether Muslim or Christian, we are all Hindus. Their ancestors were Hindu, their blood is Hindu. They are all our brothers and we are calling them to join us."

Further, the RSS chief explains 'Hindutva' as the continuous discovery of truth and cannot be categorised or branded with any group. He asserted that there would be no turn back from the ideologies of Hindutva even if there is a question of votes during elections.

During the seminar, he urged Hindus to become strong and powerful because "the world respects the powerful". He also said Hindutva should continue more stronger as it protects from forces damaging the environment, peace and harmony.

Sangh's slogan for the Hindutva movement is that one should get to know that he is a Hindu, good or bad, and come together and create a force that nobody could dare to point finger at Hindus, he said, according to the Press Trust of India.

"We need to gather strength. And this can be possible only when those who consider themselves as Hindus get together," the RSS chief said.

The seminar at the Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration had other top figures like Pravin Togadiya, international general-secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP); former union minister Subramaniyam Swami; Ahmedabad mayor Kanaji Thakor; state BJP unit president Purshottam Rupala; and ministers of state Nitin Patel, Pradeepsinh Jadeja and Devang Nanavati.
