EFICOR complimented for 'transparency' in annual report

The Evangelical Fellowship of India Commission on Relief (EFICOR) was complimented for "transparency" in its annual report among civil society groups across the country.

EFICOR was awarded the Second Runner-up of the CSO Partners' Outstanding Annual Report Awards 2011 on April 9 at a function held in New Delhi.

Celebrating the excellent work being done by the voluntary sector and its engagement with the public, the award was to recognize and promote quality in annual reports.

Annual report being a key tool for ensuring transparency and accountability of any organization, CSO Partners instituted the award to promote public disclosure, readability, and quality of financial reporting within the voluntary sector.

The 245 entrants representing NGOs cutting across sizes, causes and geographical areas were adjudged by an independent jury.

CSO congratulated EFICOR for upholding high standards of "transparency and disclosure" in its annual report. As a token of appreciation, a donation or Rs 1 lakh was made to the organisation.

The event to felicitate the winners was attended by distinguished guests from the Government, NGOs and Corporate sector.
