Bangalore – Archbishop Emeritus Ignatius Pinto inaugurated a 3–day Eucharistic Convention that concluded on May 1.
Addressing a gathering of over 2000 people in the Church of Holy Eucharist, the archbishop in his homily in Kannada, Tamil and English said, “The Eucharist is for us the greatest source of life and strength and ultimate expression of Jesus’ love for you and for me. You have come in large numbers braving the long distance and the heat of the day. This Convention is truly a tribute to the Lord Jesus in this year of the Eucharist.”
“I am surprised at this huge gathering. I least expected that so many would come to this small parish of 150 families…this is the work of God, this is a clear sign that people are deeply in love with the Eucharistic Lord,” said parish priest and convenor of the event, Fr. Amarnath Dinesh Roy.
