Foetuses suspected to be female, found dumped in Bangalore

In a shocking incident, over 20 aborted foetuses, suspected to be female, were found in a dumpyard in Bangalore. The foetuses were found in Jakkarayanakere area and have been sent to Victoria Hospital for sex determination.

Karnataka State Commission for Women chairperson, Pramila Nesargi arrived on complaints from the people that the police tried to keep it under wraps and ignored the incident. After the chairperson Nesargi's intervention, the police agreed to register a FIR.

The police are yet to ascertain the exact source from where the foetuses were brought in.

Last month, seven dead female newborns were discovered near the Duburi foothills in Nayagarh District of Orissa state.

Female infanticide and foeticide is still prevalent in several parts of the country, as boys are traditionally preferred to girls.

A woman Christian activist, who does not want her name to be quoted in the news told Christian Today that the mindsets of the people are so narrow and only the understanding and love of God can set them free.

It is time that people understand, man have been created equally by God in his image whether boy or girl, both are created, accepted and equally blessed by God.
