Gujarat: Christian farmer attacked for his faith

A Christian farmer in Gujarat was attacked by Hindu extremists for believing and following Jesus Christ. According to Christian news sources, the attack happened on October 28 in Ambapani village near Vansda in Gujarat.

The victim Bharat Bai is a local farmer. He was beaten while returning back from his field along with his family.

The radicals lambasted the farmer and later threatened his family of death, if they continued to believe and follow Christianity.

Surprisingly, the radicals even went to the local church and threatened the pastor and his congregation of dire consequences if continued to conduct Church services.

When approached the police for protection, the police who seemed to be on the side of radicals refused to file a complaint. However, Bharat has forwarded the case to the Human Rights Commission.

Prayers are sought for justice to be done in this case and that the believers would remain strong in their faith.
