He'll Come Through For You

“I have confidence in your strength; you are my refuge, O God”. (Psalm 59:9 GNB)

Isn’t it just wonderful having a relationship with someone you can trust? You can call them on the phone or reach out to them and just know that they’ll be there for you. It gives you confidence; for you know they are trustworthy and can count on them.

What about if you are ill or old and find it hard to do things as before? You may rely on others to take care of you or hold onto them while you walk etc. That’s another kind of reliance and dependency.

How about if you had to bring a huge chest of drawers into your house? The delivery man came to drop it by, but you were out. They came in too early and missed you. So they just plonked it on the front yard and off they went. You had no strength to carry it in by yourself; so you went to your neighbour and asked his assistance.

Bill was a body builder and with a smile said “No problem”. He lifted it up ‘easily’ and carried it in. You were just amazed at the condition of body, all the years of hard work paid off. He was always kind and willing to help others and everyone in the block relied on him. God bless his kind heart.

Well Friend, isn’t it a great blessing to have someone to rely on and help you in time of need? But what if you had no one, what would you do?

If you knew the Lord Jesus and His Father, you could certainly pray and ask for His help. He would make a way for you or send someone to help you along.

I remember a relative of mine who couldn’t walk too well. She was very frail and a widow. She was quite embarrassed to carry a walking stick and so would walk without it. She would call out to Jesus and say “Come Lord, let’s go together”. She shared many times she nearly fell as her legs where weak; but she imagined she was holding Jesus’ hands and she testifies ‘He never let her fall’.

Her children lived in other cities and she entrusted her life to the Lord. Everyday He would send someone to keep an eye on her. People would call on the phone and others would come by, to ask if she needed anything from the shops. The Lord took care of her needs.

I can imagine her saying to the Lord “I have no strength, I live alone and there is no one to care for me. But I am confident in Your strength dear Lord. You are my place of refuge”.

God came through for her. I can testify He came through for me too. Friend I encourage you not to worry. No matter what your problem or need is, please be assured He will come through for you too.

“Dear Lord God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, thank You for all Your blessings on us. I pray for a special touch on Your child who is reading this message. Please bless them and reassure them that You are enough for them. When they are weak, You are strong. You are also a place of refuge and we can all take shelter in You thru any storm. Glory be to You O Lord amen”.
