Hindu Jagran Manch devising ways to dissolve Sept 22 Christian rally

According to Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC) – a Hindu political organization called Hindu Jagran Manch are devising plans with Karnataka state authorities to send fear and confusion in the minds of participants and dissolve the Awareness rally organized on 22nd September, this month.

GCIC reported gaining full permission from the City Police Commission on 7th September, this month, to hold a peaceful rally. The permission was obtained to conduct an Awareness meet to create public opinion about the recurring attacks against Christians in India and Karnataka in particular.

However, the Hindu Jagran Manch to thwart the rally, approached the government to permit them protest against alleged "Christian conversion atrocities" on September 22nd, which is concurrent with the Christian event. They have also acquired permission to start off the rally at the same venue GCIC planned.

Due to the presence and control by the upper caste in the Hindi belt of India, Hindu Jagran Manch is generally known as Hindu Jagran Manch. The organization was blamed for the increasing attacks in Northern and central India.

GCIC, in the interest of peace, decided to reduce the duration of protest from 8.30am to 10.30 instead of 9am to 12.30.

The rally will be led by former police commissioner of Bangalore H.T Sangliana – who is the present Member of Parliament and the Karnataka Chraista Sangh organization (Karnataka State Christian Association).

Important Christian figures in the state, Church leaders and Christians from all denominations are believed to be participating in the event.
