Hindu radicals attack believers for distributing religious tracts in Mumbai

Hindu radicals attacked two Christian youths for distributing religious leaflets in Mumbai, raising concerns about the safety of the minority community in the city.

Bobby D'Souza, 24, and Sandip Mohite, 21, were distributing religious literature near
the suburban Kandivli railway station to drug addicts and pavement dwellers, March 3, when suddenly a group of people, allegedly supporters of the Hindu extremist outfit, the Bajrang Dal, surrounded them and seizing the religious pamphlets from them, began beating them up.

Both the believers sustained serious injuries in the attack and had to be hospitalized.

A complaint has been registered against the attackers and investigations are going on.
