Indian Christian employees persecuted in Saudi Arabia

Christian employees numbering 17 are suffering house arrest and dour persecution at a water company in Asir province–Saudi Arabia.

One of the sufferers, who escaped the Saudi company and reached India, disclosed how they were suffering without proper food and required treatment, from August 15.

Manoj speaking to a news agency, said, "There were 22 youth selected and sent to Saudi Arabia, by a recruiting agency for the post of driver cum salesman. Although the company promised us less work, good salary, and flight charges from India none of the mentioned was provided. The reason for this treatment was we were– Christians."

"They didn't pay our flight charges, forced us to work 18 hours a day, treated us as slaves and considered us equal to domestic animals," complained Manoj with tears.

Manoj, who was sick and needed leave from work, was not provided rest nor any aid by the company. When his friends forcibly took him to the hospital, the company authorities provoked started persecuting all the Christian employees and put them under house arrest.

"The Arab people even spit at the little food given to eat," bemoaned Manoj.

Manoj, who was seriously ill, was sent back to India by the company without paying him the salary and allowances. Due to even not having money to inform his brother his coming to India, Manoj had to dial a missed call to his brother’s number so that he could call back to his mobile.

Parents of the victims are seriously worried after their children stopped calling them from August 15. They requested prayers for their children, to be released the earliest possible.
