A Pakistani Christian preacher has been threatened to life by a group of Muslims extremists in Karachi last month, warning her to stop preaching Christianity.
Rita David, 22-year-old, was returning to her home after her service and preaching in a church in Korangi area of Karachi, when she was stopped by a group of Muslim radicals on the street. She was left with a warning to stop preaching Christianity else she will be abducted and killed.
According to Korangi Police Station officials, a complaint of threat to Christian woman was reported. At first, the police didn't lodge a formal First Information Report (FIR). Only after an order from the area judge, they initiated case and investigation.
According to Pakistani Christian Post, David is an active church worker who administrates and preaches at meetings of Christian youth, distributes Bible tracts and arranges Bible study sessions.
