Pastor accused of forced conversion, arrested by police

Last week a Pastor in Andhra Pradesh was attacked by Hindu radicals who accused him of forced conversion.

A group consisting of 20 members led by VHP/RSS leaders barged into Pastor Martin Luther’s house and attacked him alleging forceful conversion.

"They dragged Pastor Martin to Nandipet Police Station and lodged a complaint against him under forceful conversion. On the basis of the complaint given by the VHP/RSS leaders, he was detained in the said police station," reported Global Council of Indian Christians.

With the intervention of local Christian leaders who had a discussion with Sub Inspector Mr. Shivashankar, Martin was handed a bail.

Martin (32) is a native of Bhadrachalam, Khammam district and pastors the Believers Church in Nizambad district.
