In a gathering organized by Naga Christian Fellowships (NCF) at Dimapur from Aug. 18 to 20, pastors from across the country participated for prayer and spiritual renewal.
The director of the Naga Missionary Movement, Rev. Andrew Semp said that the gathering was a chance for the pastors to come out of their shells to relax, refresh and rejuvenate their minds to be strengthened.
The pastors shared their experiences, challenges and opportunities in their respective ministries.
"This is a time to hear from them about their success and failures in the ministry. He encouraged and reminded them that they are the shepherds called by God to take care of the sheep. As owners of the sheep, until the sheep returns to the owner we are to look for them," said Rev. Dr Zelhou Keyho, general secretary of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC).
Semp said that pastors are shepherds that need to find shelter in Christ, so that they can provide protection for their sheep.
"Coming together in a forum like this can ensure and held NCFs to continue to stay strong, relevant, connected and be on the task," said Semp.
"This is a time of remarkable change with great challenges and exciting opportunities. Technology and communication are making the world smaller and more connected than ever which at the same time there are unique challenges which confront us that need creative and intelligent means to stay adaptable and responsive to complex situations," he added.
Pastors and leaders from Guwahati, Aizawl, Itanagar, Shilong, Kolkata, Nagpur, Dehradun, Bangalore, Mysore, Chennai and Pondicherry attended the gathering.
The next meeting will be held in Bangalore in 2019.
