Sangh Parivar activists beat up Dehradun pastor
A pastor in Dehradun, the capital city of Uttarkhand state, was attacked and beaten by Hindu radicals from the Bajrang Dal and BJP.
According to the Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI), "The miscreants barged into the rented prayer hall, ransacked the church and mercilessly started beating the pastor."
Pastor Singh was seriously injured by the attackers. When the congregation members tried to intervene they too were attacked mercilessly.
"The pastor was dragged for about half a kilometer and was taken to his house where his landlord was forced to make the pastor vacate the house," added EFI.
Apart from indulging in violent acts, the radicals also threatened the pastor and the Church members to leave the city.
Subsequently the radicals ordered the landlord of the building to cancel the contract with the pastor, which has rendered him stranded with no accomodation.
65 yr old pastor beaten up in Bangalore
Karnataka Rakshana Vedike activists assaulted a 65–year–old pastor of a 'Gospel Church' in Magadi Road, Bangalore.
Pastor Murugan, who for the past 20 years has been delivering the good news of peace and love to the local people, was attacked while praying at a believer’s house.
The seething radicals charged the pastor of forceful conversion and alleged, he was offering money to the people who converted.
The same day evening, the local ‘TV 9’ Kannada news channel telecasted the incident.
Pastor Murugan has been handed over to the Moodalpalya police station.
Pastor threatened with death
Similar incident in Bangalore, quivered local Chrisitan leaders, after a group of over 10 RSS leaders threatened death to a Pastor in Udaynagar.
Pastor S.K Naveen who hails from a Hindu background, is a native of Chikmagalur district, Karnataka. He came to the Christian faith about 5 years ago, when a Christian lady from the same locality shared the Gospel with him.
The radicals now allege that Pastor Naveen after his Christian transformation has been involved in conversion and Christian activities with his Hindu fellow men.
