Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Nov. 2, 2004 – Recently, the Christian community that backed and pressed for the release of Indian Christian expatriate Brian O’Connor who was incarcerated in a Saudi Arabia prison for more than seven months received a severe blow when on October 20, a Saudi court in Deerah, near Riyadh, sentenced Brian to ten months in prison and 300 lashes for selling “alcoholic beverages”, according to news reports.
