Secunderabad to host International Ecumenical Meet

The Andhra Pradesh Federation of Churches (APFC), in collaboration with renowned international ecumenical leaders and promoters of Christian unity will be holding an ecumenical meet named “Unity in the Holy Spirit Festival” from 23rd to 25th November 2007 in Secunderabad.

“The purpose of the festival is to celebrate and strengthen the essential unity of the Christians in the Holy Spirit,” said the deputy secretary general of the Andhra Pradesh Bishops’ Council Fr Anthoniraj Thumma, quoted CBCI news.

“The main preachers will be Fr. Raniero Cantalamessa, the official preacher of the papal household, Prof. Giovanni Traettino, an Evangelical Bishop from Italy, Dr. Morris Cerullo of World Evangelism from U.SA., Rev. Gary Clake of Hillsong ministries from London, and Dr. Michael Hughes of Miracle Net T.V.” he added.

While prominent pastors and Bishops from different denominations are expected to address the gathering, the famous Hillsong Unity Choir along with Hyderabad Unity will lead the participants in praise and worship.

The three day of Unity festival will consist of conferences, addresses by global preachers and special programmes for children and youths. The event will be held in Mary's school grounds, Secunderabad.
