Christians in Hyderabad actively participated in large numbers at the three day inter–denominational festival, “Unity in the Holy Spirit Festival”, which concluded on November 25.
The event welcomed Charismatic preachers, evangelicals, Tv anchors, Catholic priests and others who led the prayers and celebrations.
The festival commenced with a conference for pastors and leaders, among whom were Rajan Thiyagarajan, a popular preacher from Australia, Fr Christu Raj SVD, Rev Sam Kishore, Dr Michael Huges of Miracle Net TV and Rev Scott Norling of Joyce Mayer Ministries.
"The conference stirred the hearts of the participants and made them recoginise the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit," noted ICNS.
Archbishop Marampudi Joji of Hyderabad, the Chairman of the Unity Festival and the Executive Vic–President of the Andhra Pradesh Federation of Churches, emphasized that “unless we grow strong in the Holy Spirit it is not possible to effectively respond to challenges the Churches face.”
Fr Cantalamessa, in the final convention of the Unity festival urged participants to commit themselves to the ecumenical task of unity and promote fellowship.
Further adding flavor to the event was the music by Hillsong Choir of London led by Rev Gary Clarke, and the Unity Choir of Hyderabad led by Fr Vijay.
