VHP proposes 10 years of imprisonment with 10 million fine on Christians engaged in conversion

Adding to the persecution buzz against Christians in India is the recent advancement of Vishwa Hindu Parishad members to impose 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and ten lakh rupees fine as punishment on Christian leaders and missionaries involved in conversion activities.

According to the report carried by Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC), the Vishwa Hindu Parishad members during a national meet commenced last week proposed – "10 years of rigorous imprisonment and ten lakh rupees” as fine on Christians engaged in conversion activities.

Bidding to make India a complete Hindu nation, the VHP national leaders from 32 regions of India during the meeting, raised their voices against Christians and were determined to punish Christians engaged in conversions with strict penalties.

Dr. Pravin Bhai Togadia, VHP's international General Secretary and Shankaracharya Jagatguru Nischalananda Saraswoti of Puri while delivering their inaugural speech made several provoking remarks against Christians and declared war against the minority Christian community, according to GCIC.

They also accused UPA Government and its Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Chairperson MS Sonia Gandhi, for supporting and encouraging Christian missionaries in the country.

They alleged that Christians convert people offering social and backward community services and luring them with money and job offers.

The VHP even conducted a meeting in Orissa, ruled by a coalition of BD and BJP centralist Hindu party, to plan out strategies against Christians and missionaries.

Due to the Freedom of religion act actuated in Orissa, Christians are imprisoned and persecuted the most compared to any any other Indian states.
