Christians unite in Christmas celebrations

New Delhi – The United Christmas Celebration (UCC) Committee 2005, an organization comprising of mainline churches, institutions, organizations of all denominations organized the 27th United Christmas Celebrations at Lalitha Kala Thoranam in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh on December 17.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhara Reddy, was the chief guest, UCC said in a press release.

Rev. B P Sugandhar, Bishop in Medak and Moderator, Church of South India (CSI), Most Rev. Marampudi Joji, Archbishop of Hyderabad, Rt. Rev. Bishop Taranath S. Sagar, Methodist Conference of India and other bishops and heads of the churches participated in the celebration.

Special attraction for this year was the 120–member choir, cultural programmes, christmas tree, carol singing, santa claus, nativity presentation and various messages by the dignitaries, the release added.
