Delirious? farewell concert exclusively on GOD TV

UK rock legend, 'Delirious?' disbanded in London last week and GOD TV is the only network to be airing their spectacular final concert. This exclusive broadcast will be screened worldwide on 27 December as part of a full evening of programming to recognise the band's many achievements.

In addition to tehe final concert, 'Delirious? Night' on GOD TV will include the network's youth presenters Chip-K and Emma Owen interviewing the five band members and the video countdown of the Top 10 Delirious? songs of all time, as voted by GOD TV viewers.

GOD TV's potential viewing audience of half a billion viewers worldwide is being encouraged to visit the network's website to choose their favourite track out of 15 songs the band has short-listed. The online poll at www.god.tv/delirious closes on 15 December.

Founded in 1996, Delirious? have measured their audiences by the million, their shows by the thousand and their albums by the dozen. They have written and performed over 100 original songs including many modern worship classics. These include: 'Rain Down', 'Majesty' and 'I Could Sing of Your Love Forever', which are sung in churches across the nations.

A Grammy-nominated band and the winner of multiple Dove Awards, Delirious? was made up of Martin Smith and Stu Garrard on vocals/guitar; Jon Thatcher on bass guitar; Tim Jupp on keyboards and Paul Evans on the drums.

The band's Farewell Concert at London's Hammersmith Apollo on November 29th was part of their 'History Makers' tour across Europe, including six UK cities. The events in Belfast, Edinburgh, Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and London were completely sold-out, but fortunately viewers can still participate via GOD TV.

"Delirious? was formed in the UK at much the same time as GOD TV was birthed in 1995 and it has been our privilege to feature these anointed worshippers many times over the past 14 years," said GOD TV co-founder and Director of Television, Wendy Alec.

"We at GOD TV want to commend the band members for all they have done and especially for the many lives they have helped bring into the Kingdom of God," she said. "I have no doubt their music will continue to impact people across the globe for many years to come."

The 3-hour Delirious Night programme can be seen on the GOD Channel Asia on Sunday 27 December at 18.30 (IST) with a replay on Monday 28 December at 22.00.

The GOD Channel Asia can be viewed via satellite across the region as well as via cable in select cities of India, Nepal and Pakistan. GOD TV is also available online at www.god.tv/stream and much of the network's programming is available for video on demand viewing at www.god.tv/god.
