'Festival of Life 09' revies Bangalore

Joyce Meyer's 'Festival of Life 2009' at Bangalore, as expected, was full of life and even more.

The international personages, including worship leaders of Hillsongs and Delirious, moved the gargantuan audience with their reinvigorating music, later followed by inspiring sermons by Joyce Meyer and Tommy Barnett.

As Pastor Tommy Barnett said, it was "An Overdose of Life". The four-day-festival ended on a high on Sunday, 18th of January, and they promised to return to India soon.

"God loves India and the country is ready to receive Christ, that is why we are here," Pastor Tommy said, adding "We are not here to preach religion ...religion brings division and violence...but Jesus brings peace."

Praying for Church leaders, Joyce Meyer said, "A great revival has begun and it would be from India that missionaries will travel worldwide, encouraging and leading the Christian community."

The worship Festival was one of the biggest of its kind Bangalore had ever seen. Local Christian bands participated and began the worship with Christian songs in regional languages, which set the stage for the extravagant performance by Delirious.

The popular English Christian band made their entry on an "Auto", a three-wheeler Indian public transport vehicle. Their performance swept the crowd off their feet. It was a special moment for all when Delirious waived the Indian National flag on the stage.

Indian cricket player Robin Uthappa graced the event by sharing his Christian experiences and the joy of meeting with Hillsongs and Joyce Meyer ministries.

Last year the Mumbai, India crusade drew close to 1 million people. In addition, thousands of people declared Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior.
