Stylos Records and "the voice" of Christian music Sandi Patty are celebrating Patty's first live project in nearly 10 years: Sandi Patty Christmas LIVE, released this week.
This live DVD and CD recording brings the one of a kind live Christmas event that has captured the hearts of people across the country and has ushered in the celebration of Christmas as only Sandi Patty can.
Filmed in front of a live audience in Richardson, Texas, along with the support of a live orchestra and choir, the album features many of Patty's signature Christmas melodies including "Angels We Have Heard on High", "Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee", "Star of Bethlehem", and her original version of "O Holy Night".
"Christmas really is my favourite time of year," says Patty. "I love what it means. I love celebrating the birth of Christ. To be able to capture these Christmas anthems in my favourite setting, the live setting, was an absolute thrill! I'm so glad to be able to share this live experience with my friends through this project."
Continuing her 10-year tradition of performing her legendary Christmas spectacular in sold-out music halls with symphonies nationwide, Patty will visit 14 cities in the US on her Christmas live tour.
The annual event will begin November 27 in Georgetown, Delaware, and will conclude December 21 in Greeley, Colorado.
A highlight of this national tour will occur on December 19-20, when Patty will perform with the renowned New York City Pops at the historical Carnegie Hall.
In addition, Patty will be performing with The Twelve Irish Tenors at The Palace Theatre in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, November 16-21 as a part of the theatre's "Christmastime!" production.
